At Dromoland Castle
Bunratty Castle is the most complete and authentic medieval fortress in Ireland. Built in 1425 it was restored in 1954, and showcases wonderful 15th and 16th century furnishings, tapestries, and works of art. Medieval banquets in the castle and traditional Irish evenings, with music and dance are especially popular.
The neighbouring Bunratty Folk Park offers a window on 19th century Ireland with its reconstructed traditional Irish village including thatched cottages, a forge, weavers, post office and vivid historic enactments.
