For the safety and comfort of all our guests, both human and canine, we ask that you agree to our dog policy:
With the exception of Guide Dogs and Assistance Dogs, dogs are not permitted in public areas (except when accessing their owner’s room) or in any of the Castle’s Food and Beverage outlets.
Due to potential noise issues, dogs may not be left unattended for any period of time in guest rooms. We can help you arrange a suitable dog-sitter or walker: please contact reservations in advance of your stay, and we will be happy to assist.
All dogs should be healthy and up to date with all standard vaccinations.
Dogs must be securely leashed at all times when outside your room. This applies throughout the resort and grounds: there is no authorised off-leash area on the estate.
Long walks with your furry friend around the Castle estate are one of the greatest pleasures of bringing your dog to Dromoland. There are many wonderful walking trails to explore, but please avoid the area surrounding the Temple of Mercury to the front of the hotel: this is our Falconry site and will interfere with the birds of prey during lessons and demonstrations.
Please attend immediately to your dog’s “deposits” through the resort. Removal of all waste is mandatory.
If your dog soils your room, a cleaning charge will be applied.
Dromoland Castle assumes no liability for your dog.
Your pet’s health and safety, as well as their behaviour, is your responsibility. You are responsible for any damage caused by your dog.
