Summer At Dromoland
Explore both Castle & County
Summer time at Dromoland Castle is one of the nicest seasons to visit! It’s a time when our magnificent 500-acre resort comes into its own, dazzling with lush greenery, birdsong, blossoming flowers and the gentle buzz of bees.
The perfect spot for a memorable family holiday or romantic summer escape, you can indulge in the best of country pursuits while enjoying the finest of Irish hospitality. From laid back strolls and gentle cycling, to a morning in the Castle Spa, forest bathing, history tours, and 18 challenging holes of golf, you won’t need to leave our grounds to have fun. For something more energetic, why not challenge yourselves to an age-old country pursuit. Archery, clay shooting or falconry with our resident hawks, falcons and owls are all fantastic fun!
One of the prettiest spots in summer, our wonderful Walled Gardens are bursting with colour, scent, sculpted topiary and unexpected features at every turn.
But if you do decide to venture outside the castle gates – there are mountains of itinerary ideas to explore with our Guest Relations team – from visiting the iconic Cliffs of Moher, to the quaint fishing village of Liscannor, or further afield to Doolin for some traditional music and true Clare hospitality, a sunset cruise on Lough Derg, a Food Walking Tour in Galway, the choice is endless.
